RhodeCode Launches Appenlight For Enterprise

Published on December 01, 2015, by Brian

Berlin and Palo Alto - December 1, 2015 - RhodeCode Inc., today announced RhodeCode Appenlight, a powerful new application-performance-monitoring solution for its enterprise customers. RhodeCode Appenlight provides a rich set of tools to monitor, to visualize, and to report on application events and performance behind the firewall or on the private cloud.

Performance Monitoring

RhodeCode Appenlight gathers performance metrics and error messages from web apps. It also enables developers and managers to filter this data based on criteria such as severity level, occurrences, and other relevant metrics for performance optimization and error prevention. Using its graphing capabilities, this data can then be analysed to create reports that accurately show, in real-time, current performance levels.

Slow is the new broken, and applications that are underperforming have been proven to impact the bottom line. Giving our customers accurate real-time performance charts, that pinpoint exactly where applications are not optimized, empowers them to take the corrective action necessary to steer their business in the right direction, said Matthew Powell RhodeCode CEO.

Logging Aggregation and Event Notifications

RhodeCode Appenlight also monitors application logs, letting customers filter, audit, and take real-time actions on these events. The service is fully based on a RESTful JSON API, that allows for data to be easily stored and accessed. Part of the event notification system is a configurable alerts feature. When alert rules are triggered, notifications will be pushed, ensuring managers or processes are notified of key events.

Highly configurable search and filtering options let you inspect the most relevant data from the huge amount of logs that a system can generate. This ensures that administrators never miss important events like authentication failures, or system errors. This data feed can also be plotted using the charting system, letting you visualize events and present them in a quickly absorbed format.

Team Collaboration and Permissions Access

RhodeCode Appenlight can be used to assign team members to investigate reports and logs. This enables customers to simplify and accelerate the development of their applications by ensuring the right information, goes to the right people, at the right time.

Appenlight has permission access control to custom dashboards, error reports, or performance metrics. You can easily share those within your team, organization or keep them completely private.

Analysing all this data and presenting it in an easily digestible format lets customers make immediate decisions about what actions need to be taken. From both a business and development perspective, making faster and better decisions puts everyone at an advantage, said Marcin Kuzminski RhodeCode CTO.

Integrations and Compatibility

Appenlight integrates smoothly with the most popular development tools, frameworks, and languages, meaning it works with your technology stack.
