Launching the Developer Program for Open Source Contributors

It has been a busy month since RhodeCode went open source :

The source code of Community Edition has been made available on code.rhodecode.com, yet the contribution process was somewhat unclear.

Today RhodeCode launches the Developer Program to make the contribution process easier and more transparent for open source contributors. We also created a dedicated section on our website: rhodecode.com/open-source.

RhodeCode 4.1 Release: Enterprise Edition, Auth-Tokens & Elasticsearch

Today, we are excited to release RhodeCode 4.1 . It is our most recent public release since RhodeCode went open source. RhodeCode 4.1 brings new features, fixes, performance and reliability improvements for users of CE & EE editions. Preceded by weeks of testing and fine-tuning, 4.1 marks the launch of RhodeCode EE, the long-awaited (Enterprise Edition) for corporate customers. New RhodeCode EE is also available as OVA download and can be installed on Windows Server.

RhodeCode Goes Open Source: Unified Security for Git, SVN & Mercurial

We are excited to announce that RhodeCode, the leading enterprise code management platform for Git, Mercurial, and Subversion, is now available under the AGPL license. RhodeCode 4.0 is one of the largest releases we’ve ever done, it includes many major improvements, security fixes, UX and performance optimizations.

Starting today, RhodeCode comes in two flavors. The Community Edition (RhodeCode CE) is free and open source. The Enterprise Edition (RhodeCode EE) is licensed per user, adding technical support and enterprise-valued features on top of RhodeCode CE.

RhodeCode 3.8.4 Security Release - Remote Code Execution in Mercurial

Vulnerability in Git and an Off-cycle Security Release from RhodeCode

Security is one of the core values of RhodeCode. As soon as we got to know about security flaw in Git, we prepared an off-cycle, security-fix release of RhodeCode 3.8.2 and RhodeCode 3.8.3.

It fixes a serious remote code execution vulnerability in Git and we strongly recommend to update your RhodeCode instance to the latest version.

Type rccontrol self-update && rccontrol upgrade ‘*’ in the command line interface.
